Smokehead High Voltage Islay Single Malt Whisky (750ml)

The high strength version of Smokehead, the single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery. This looks as if some sherry casks have been used in the maturation - which we greatly approve of! Bottled at 58%. Intense peat and smoke, maritime air, porridge oats, vanilla and toffee. A burn of hot spirit and your mouth fills with smoke, thick with oiliness then becoming creamy with nuts, brine and citrus. A sweetness mixes with slow fading smoke, leaving a salty tang.
