Hartenberg The Doorkeeper Merlot Malbec 750ml
Hartenberg makes some solid stuff - they're one of those South African wineries that doesn't mess around. Been doing their thing in Stellenbosch for ages.
Merlot - Think of it as the easy-drinking red. Smooth, fruity, won't punch you in the face with tannins. It's like the friendly neighbor of red wines - approachable, goes with most food, and doesn't require a wine degree to enjoy.
Malbec - This one's got more attitude. Darker, beefier, with that "I've been working out" vibe. Originally French but Argentina made it famous. It's the wine that pairs perfectly with a good steak and doesn't apologize for being bold.
If Hartenberg does a blend of these two, you're looking at something that's got the Merlot's smoothness keeping the Malbec's intensity in check - best of both worlds. Easy to drink but with enough character to make things interesting.
Sold as a single 1 x 750ml bottle.
