DELIVERY
Please ensure you select the correct delivery option when placing an order.
Outside of local Cape Town deliveries, the cost of delivery is determined by weight and destination, and is calculated in your cart during checkout.
WESTERN CAPE
Distance from our facility in Constantia, Cape Town is calculated during checkout once you enter the delivery address. Available delivery options are then displayed, from which you can select the preferred delivery option. For products that we order in, on demand, delivery will take an additional 3 to 7 business days. We will, however, deliver products that are in stock per the details below and then deliver the additional products once we receive them.
CLICK & COLLECT
You may collect your order from the Smous Shop (next to the Coffee Bloc Deli) on Buitenverwachting Wine Farm, Klein Constantia Road, Constantia, Cape Town. Just select "Click & Collect" during checkout. Collection is Monday to Friday, 9h00 to 16h00. We do allow collections on Saturdays during the summer season, or by prior arrangement.
LOCAL (CONSTANTIA AND SURROUNDS)
Delivery via the Smous delivery service is free in Constantia and adjacent suburbs. This option will appear at checkout if applicable to your order. Same or next business day delivery.
UP TO 25KM RADIUS OF CONSTANTIA
We offer our own delivery service within a 25km radius of Constantia at a flat rate of R50 per order, up to R350 order value. Orders greater than R350 in value will be delivered free of charge within this 25km radius. Same to two business days delivery.
25KM TO 50KM RADIUS OF CONSTANTIA
We offer our own delivery service within a 25km to 50km radius of Constantia at a flat rate of R100 per order, up to R750 order value. Orders greater than R750 in value will be delivered free of charge within this radius. Same to two business days delivery.
50KM TO 75KM RADIUS OF CONSTANTIA (WINELANDS)
We offer delivery within a 50km to 75km radius of Constantia at a flat rate of R125 per order, up to R1 000 order value. Orders greater than R1 000 in value will be delivered free of charge within this radius. Delivery is between same day and 2 business days. This delivery option includes the following postal codes:
7620, 7623, 7624, 7626, 7646, 7655, 7680, 7690.
Same to two business days delivery.
Delivery to all other areas in the Western Cape is charged at the applicable courier rates, and is based on the weight of the order. Surcharges for certain delivery destinations may be applied by the courier provider (eg. townships, game farms, security estates, remote areas). We will notify you of any applicable surcharges prior to processing the shipment. Two to 4 business days.
REST OF SOUTH AFRICA
Delivery to all areas outside of the Western Cape is charged at the applicable courier rates, and is based on the weight of the order and destination postal code.
Please refer to the list of postal codes to determine if you are in a Main Centre (2 to 5 business days) or Regional (3 to 5 business days) delivery area for our courier. Failure to select the correct option may lead to us holding the shipment until any courier fee shortfall has been paid.
Surcharges for certain delivery destinations may be applied by the courier provider (eg. townships, game farms, security estates, remote areas). We will notify you of any applicable surcharges prior to processing the shipment.
ORDERS OVER 100KG
We are not always able to deliver orders over 100kg. If you intend ordering items that total more than 100kg on one order, please contact us before ordering. The shipping cost reflected during checkout is based on 100kg, and orders over 100kg will attract additional weight-based costs. We will communicate this to you prior to processing the shipment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We strive to complete local Cape Town deliveries (within 75km of Constantia) either the same day or the next business day. Stock outages or delays may push delivery out to 2 business days. This is, of course, all lockdown regulations-dependent.
All other deliveries are outsourced to a courier provider. While we strive to ensure they deliver on time, we do not have control over their operations.
